Description: Fmoc-8-amino-3,6-dioxooctanoic acid was added to the N-terminus of each peptide to provide a flexible linker, prior to the addition of biotin. 8-amino-3,6-dioxaoctanoic acid was linked to the EDA-treated PET fiber surface as a hydrophilic spacer, and then D-biotin was attached on the end of the spacer as an affinity ligand. Adoa is a new hydrophilic spacer which eliminates many of the problems inherent in the use of hydrophobic or charged, spacer arms.
