Description: Palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 (Pal-KTTKS) is a fragment of procollagen I which can increase collagen production. It increases production of collagen I and III through the stimulation of fibroblasts,and also stimulates production of fibronectin and elastin. The palmitoyl derivative was added to the pentapeptide, increasing its lipophilic properties and enhancing absorption. 3 ppm pal-KTTKS. Pal-KTTKS was well tolerated by the skin and provided significant improvement vs. placebo control for reduction in wrinkles/fine lines by both quantitative technical and expert grader image analysis.
